Redcap

A violent border-folklore being said to haunt ruins and dye its cap in blood.

Legend File

Redcap belongs to violent border places: ruined towers, old fights, and paths where shelter feels unsafe. The creature's name comes from the blood-red cap it must keep stained, turning a piece of clothing into a sign of repeated murder. Unlike many household spirits, the redcap offers little bargain, only flight or danger.
