Ghosts & Spirits ยท Slavic world

Leshy

A Slavic forest spirit who can mislead travelers, guard animals, and change size or shape.

Legend File

The leshy makes the forest feel awake. In Slavic folklore he can appear as a man, a giant, an animal-like presence, or a voice that turns travelers around. He is dangerous when disrespected, but not only evil: he belongs to the rules of forest life, where paths, animals, and human arrogance are all under watch.
