Domovoi

A Slavic household spirit who protects, warns, or troubles the family home.

Legend File

The domovoi belongs to the house, not the wilderness. In Slavic folklore he may guard the household, warn of danger, disturb animals, or punish neglect. He makes domestic space feel inhabited by more than people: the stove, stable, threshold, and family memory become places where respect and daily order matter.
