Sphinx

A lion-bodied guardian whose riddles decide who may pass.

Legend File

The Sphinx blends animal power with human intelligence. In Egyptian form it is a royal guardian; in Greek myth it becomes a deadly riddle-giver outside Thebes. Either way, the creature turns knowledge into a gate. Strength alone cannot pass it. You must answer the world correctly before the world lets you continue.
