Osiris

The Egyptian god of the dead, resurrection, fertility, and legitimate kingship.

Legend File

Osiris is murdered, mourned, restored, and transformed into a ruler of the dead. His story gives Egyptian myth one of its central patterns: order is broken, lovingly reassembled, and renewed through ritual. As father of Horus and beloved of Isis, he links royal succession, agricultural rebirth, and the hope that death can be governed rather than merely feared.
