Heroes & Prophecies ยท Norse and Germanic world

Sigurd

The Germanic dragon-slaying hero whose glory is tangled with treasure, betrayal, and doomed love.

Legend File

Sigurd's fame begins under the dragon, but it does not end there. After killing Fafnir and taking the treasure, he enters a heroic web of oaths, memory, deception, Gudrun, Brunhild, and death. His story shows the old heroic bargain at its brightest and bleakest: courage wins the gold, but fate decides its cost.
