Scylla
The Greek sea monster opposite Charybdis, turning navigation into a choice between disasters.
Legend File
Scylla waits where the sea narrows and every route becomes bad. In Greek epic tradition she threatens sailors from one side while Charybdis destroys from the other, forcing Odysseus into loss rather than victory. Her myth is a navigation nightmare: survival may require choosing which danger will be paid.
Source Framing
Greek epic and sea-monster tradition around Scylla opposite Charybdis, especially Odyssey Book 12 and later Strait of Messina localization; transformation backstories vary and should not replace the epic navigation motif.
