Tezcatlipoca

The Aztec smoking-mirror deity of night, sorcery, rulership, conflict, and unstable fate.

Legend File

Tezcatlipoca is difficult to reduce because his power moves through night, jaguars, rulership, sorcery, temptation, and reversals of fortune. He can test rulers and unsettle heroes; he can also appear as a force behind conflict and destiny itself. His smoking mirror suggests a god who reveals truth by distorting certainty.
