Kitsune

A fox spirit of illusion, wit, and sacred service in Japanese folklore.

Legend File

Kitsune stories move between reverence and mischief. A fox may serve Inari, guard a shrine, trick a proud traveler, or take human form and live beside people for years. The many tails of a Kitsune make age and power visible, turning cleverness into a creature you can almost see flickering at the edge of a lantern-lit road.
